Clyde Riggs was riding eastbound on Britton Rd. when a pickup truck slammed into him from behind. This was the second cycling fatality within two days and within a few miles from each other. These two tragic accidents in rural OKC were a shock to the local cycling community.
I have personally seen the cycling clubs riding around this area. They are a close knit and careful group, and enjoy the beautiful scenic rides out here.
The Riggs Ghost Bike is on the south side of Britton. Clyde's name is painted on the back wheel rim, and the front wheel is decorated with a photo of him and a note giving the basic information on the accident.
