There is a plaque about both the pound and lock-up on the latter's door. The pound is preserved and has a small gate entrance. It dates to the 19th century and was used to impound straying animals until their owners paid a fine to get them back.
Both structures are constructed of red brick and inside the pound are a few weeds against its walls.
