With date from the 21st September, 1992 the Thuringian Regional Office for private broadcasting (TLR) chartered the ANTENNE THÜRINGEN GmbH the licensing for the arrangement and spreading of a national radio program of 24 hour. The licensing counts to ten years.
March, 1992
On the 30th March, 1992 the Thuringian Regional Office for private broadcasting (TLR) in the Thuringian State-Indicator writes out nine terrestrial VHF frequency for a national, private radio program in Thuringia.
February, 1993
'What a wonderful world' of Louis Armstrong is the first song which goes for the broadcasting start of ANTENNA THURINGIA on the 1st February, 1993 from the studio rooms in Weimar 'on air'. In parallel in addition regional studios are put into operation in Suhl and Erfurt. The music format is an EURO-AC, the employee's number amounts to 23.
March, 2002
For the seventh time as a result of the Media analysis appearing on 6th March, 2002 confirms the outmatched market leadership.
Indeed, AT (average hour, however, Monday - Saturday, 6-18 o'clock) 7,000 listeners (from 274,000 to 267,000 listeners), both other Thuringian radioprograms properly break: MDR 1 radio Thuringia loses (from 228,000 to 202,000) 26,000 listeners, the land wave Thuringia (from 154,000 to 125,000) even 29,000 listeners. In Thuringia MDR 1 lose radio Thuringia and 'Landeswelle' Thuringia 18,000 listeners or 21,000 listeners, MDR JUMP and ANTENNA THURINGIA win in each case 6,000 listeners there.
The old and new No. 1 in Thuringia is and remains an ANTENNA THURINGIA with now 199,000 listeners, followed by MDR 1 radio Thuringia with 128,000 listeners, MDR JUMP with 107,000 listeners and the 'Landeswelle' Thuringia with 102,000 listeners.
