Egg Harbor is a friendly, small town near the east coast of New Jersey. The surrounding area offers landscapes of wineries, parks, old buildings, empty lots & the occasional farm. Not much has changed around here since the town was first founded.

The City of Egg Harbor was planned shortly before the Civil War by a group of German investors from Philadelphia, Pa. and was incorporated in 1858. The City's name dates back to 1614 when a Captain Cornelius Jacobsen Mey, a Dutchmen, sailed his ship from New York to explore the New Jersey Coast. When he entered the mouths of two rivers, Captain Mey and his men were amazed at the great number of eggs piled on the banks. Thus, the name "Eyren Haven" which in Dutch meant "The Harbor of Eggs."

These waymarks are the framework of what you would see if you traveled up and down Philadelphia Avenue in this town. This main drag is just off of Route 30, a major road often taken by shore bound visitors and vacationers. This town is a nice stop over for a rest while beach bound. And so, without further ado, here is a list of my seven waymarks, in descending category order.
