The Lenapah post office is located at 500 Shawnee in this town of about 300 people, 10 miles south of the Kansas border.
Hours: M-F 7:30-12:00, 1:00-4:00

The post office is a cute little building with a bay window.
The town of Lenapah was settled due to being a stop of the railroad. A post office was established on April 9, 1890 when the settlement was named Lenapah, a variation of Lenape, the original name of the Delaware Indian tribe. The town has an agricultural base and profits from sitting on the railroad line.
