This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Wenham. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "W" (for Wenham) are inscribed on opposite sides. The date (1905) is inscribed on a third side. It is approximately eight inches square and four feet high.
The marker is located about fifteen feet east of the edge of the pavement on the east side of Route 22, Rubbly Road (Wenham)/Woodbury Street (Hamilton). The town line sign post is nearby, and there is a chain link fence about six feet north of the marker.
The next adjacent marker heading northwest is
Hamilton-Wenham F, 0.7 miles.
The next adjacent marker heading southeast is
Hamilton-Wenham D, about 0.5 mile.
