Come for the burgers, stay for the movie. This burger house serves excellently cooked, freshly ground beef burgers with classic old fashion toppings of lettuce, tomatoe, pickles and onions on a home-baked bun .... or select from the variety of extras (fried egg, avacado, jalapenos, etc.) that you can add. This is a build-to-order kind of place where you place your order the way you want it, and watch a Sci-Fi movie while they cook to order. The menu has the Bunsen Burger (1/3 lb. beef patty), through The Big Bang (one pound beef burger). There are also vegetarian offerings like Soylent Green (veggie burger) or Mushroom Cloud (portabella with sauce). The fresh-squeezed limeade and the milk shakes are highly recommended refreshing drinks, available along with standard soda offerings.
The decor of the restaurant is Sci-Fi posters, and some old antiques of interest. It's a low-key, high quality place. A great bargin for a lunch special and a filling dinner for after work or on a date. The prices are reasonable and considering the homemade bun and freshly ground meat burger, plus the entertaining 1950's Sci-Fi movie, this is a bargin for the value.
Bunsen Burger is wheelchair accessible, a great place to take kids, and accepts credit cards for the lunch or dinner of your choice. Shop hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 AM - 9 PM. Free parking and take-outs are available.
