On September 13, 1937, 774 High School students entered the then ultra-modern Arlington Heights high School, which was built in the summer of '37 at a cost of $333,000. Heights was positioned on 32 acres had four stories and a colonial tower. It was designed by Preston M Geren, built by Butcher and Sweeney, and funded by the W.P.A
