Opened in 1965 the drive-in was extremely popular with early attractions including Alfred Hitchcocks "Marnie" and "The Great Race".
During the fading years of the introduction of video cassettes, Hoyts whom owned the cinema were unsuccesful in selling the property. This ultimately lead to it's survival when it joined with Village and relaunched 2 further screens from the original single.
Today its patronage remains loyal and strong with 850 car spaces sound broadcast thru fm radio and the ability to purchase coke and hamburgers.
