This bronze sculpture of a bison adorns a pedestal near the heart of downtown Buffalo. It was placed as part of the bicentennial (Bison-tennial) celebration and also dedicated to the sister city of Kanazawa Japan. It was placed in 1975.

"Bison" by Cecilia Evans Taylor erected 1975 as a bicentennial project "Dedicated to the citizens of Buffalo, New York and to the citizen of her sister city, Kanazawa Japan, where the original bison statue is located.
