Nice playground with all sorts of colors and lots of slides, crawl places and climbing stuff to. There are two of these set ups back to back. There are benches, a swing set on the end, mulch base and a ton of trees to keep you cool.
The park was dedicated on Memorial Day, 1951. If you go HERE you can read about the dedication and ceremonies of that day.
This is a beautiful park which takes up exactly one full block of space. There is a big gazebo, several war memorials, this playground, water fountain, benches, lot of trees. Finally, there are tennis courts and a softball field. There is a dedication monument for the park and another matching monument next to it for World War II. The pavilion lies to the rear of this and the World War monument is in the foreground, thus completing the stone monument/memorial scene.
