DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1970 1.6 MI S FROM MT CARROLL. ABOUT 1.4 MILES SOUTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 78 FROM THE COURTHOUSE AT MT. CARROLL, THENCE 0.2 MILE EAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 88, 43 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 27 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF A WOODEN GATE AT AN ENTRANCE TO A FIELD, 1.2 FEET NORTH OF A FENCE, 0.7 FOOT SOUTH OF A METAL WITNESS POST, ABOUT 2 1/2 FEET ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY, AND BRAZED ON THE TOP OF A 3-INCH IRON PIPE PROJECTING 4 INCHES.
