Original sanctuary of the now First Presbyterian Church was built in 1854.

The sanctuary was built in 1854, being contructed of red clay bricks laid upon the ground (no foundation) with hand split shingled roof and "hand blown" glass windows. It served at the worship center for the local congregation until 1976 when a new facility was construction along with classrooms and office space.
