A good description of the station is available at Wikipedia. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has offices in the station, including the design team responsible for the development of high speed rail between Milwaukee Intermodal Station and Madison. In addition, preliminary engineering has begun for a modern streetcar system in downtown Milwaukee, with one end of the streetcar route to be located at this station.
