2000 The 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment Association
The book "Band of Brothers" by Stephen E. Ambrose and the movie by the same name recounts the story of E Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne. Lieutenant General Robert Frederick Sink took command of the 506 in July 1942 and made combat jump into Normandy and Holland ( Operation Market Garden) during WW II. He also severed during the Korean War.
