Forming a complete circle around the 12,000 year old Camosun Bog this boardwalk allows people to experience a habitat that can be easily harmed if people walk on. Camosun Bog is a remnant from the last Ice Age and has rare plants in it.

Running some 180 metres around the Camosun Bog and wynding between trees this boardwalk allows people to get very close to the 12,000 year old bog.

Originally a hole gauged out in the last Ice Age on the moraine that makes up most of Vancouver, the ice melt and formed a small lake. Over the past 12,000 years plants and other debris fell into the lake gradually filling it with rich organic material. In turn the lake almost disappeared to the point of become a small lily pad covered pond.
