This Edwardian water tower although large is fairly well hidden from view.

Hitchin water tower is brick built and despite being over a hundred years old, still looks very solid. Over the years, it has been the target for some graffiti (see photos) and has had the usual radio and mobile phone masts attached to it.
I have added a photo of a stone plaque built into the structure.
