The current brewery was built by count Lazansky, the owner of the chateau, in 1839 – 1841. After WW II it became devastated and only recently it has been repaired and the brewing started again.
The name of the beer brewed here is Prokop in honor of Count Prokop Lazansky, who bought the chateau in 1766. The basic variants are light, amber and dark lager, there are also special beers (eg. a lager made from rye malt) being brewed here on special occassions.
