This is the tale of a Royalist Soldier who has been seen wandering in the rear of the Talbot Inn, This in the 17th Century was called the Malt House and on the main Worcester to Oxford road. After the Battle of Powick (3/9/1631) it is thought that the wounded and dying sort refuege where they could, it is believed that 'Sam' a Royalist Soldier was treated for his injuries but later died here. And still remains in sprit to this day !
