Located in the historic Samuel Dickeson House, the Pilesgrove-Woodstown Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of these Salem County communities. The house and grounds keep a large collection of documents and artifacts from the area, and is open for research by appointment and regularly on Saturdays from 10-1. Also on the site is the relocated Eldridge's Hill Schoolhouse, a one-room school house once located in Eldridge's Hill, NJ, which is now part of Pilesgrove township.
Yearly the Historical Society sponsors "Woodstown by Candlelight" during the holiday season, usually the first weekend in December. This is a walking tour of historic Woodstown where you can enter a number of the Victorian homes along Main Street as they are decorated for Christmas. highly recommended if you are in the area!!
