From an official press release by Glenwood Hot Springs:
"The Glenwood Hot Springs has endured many changes over the years. During World War II, from 1943 to 1946, the Hotel Colorado and bath house served as a U.S. Naval Convalescent Hospital, used as a rehabilitation facility for sailors and marines, and was closed to the public. After the war, the bath house was converted to a private hospital, the Glenwood Clinic, until 1950. It was then converted to a hotel called The Hot Springs Lodge. (from (
