This marks the original site of the downtown farmers' market started by Little Rock Unlimited Progress in May, 1974.  The market offered about 30 varieties of fresh homegrown produce by local farmers and growers.

With cooperation from the Metrocentre Improvement District, the market became one of downtown Little Rock's most successful events.

Special recognition is given to Mr. Max Gold, Mr. Ben F. Scroggin, Jr., Mr. Jim Moses, Jr., Mr. James Garner and Mr. Bob Joblin for their leadership and work make the market such a pleasant experience.
