An early 19th century structure. The shelter is octagonal with eight oak posts, thickened by spurs, and a pointed slate roof with finial.
The well is capped by a raised octagonal concrete slab. Atop the slab is a cast iron winding system with a large flywheel. There is a large cast iron trough on the North side of the structure.
