Great Pinnacle Gap is a cleft between the rock in the mountainside. It forms a huge gap creating a challenge for climbers but not as bad as it seems. There are numerous cracks for hand and foot jamming or where your climbing gear can be placed. Care should be taken not to damage the rock.
Towering above the Nant Ffrancon Valley this Mountain Gap offers spectacular views as you climb higher. Llyn Bochlwyd can be seen below with Llyn Idwal further to the west. Tryfan mountain lies nearby and further afield is Snowdon itself.
