There are many of these benches along the highway. This is a typical wood slated bench with the inscription on the back of the bench (the part leaned against). The inscription reads In Memory of the Reverend Canon Allen S. Bolinger 1928 - 1996.
There is another identical bench to this one on church grounds. This dedicated bench is located to the rear of the main sanctuary of Grace Episcopal Church. There is a courtyard in this area, nicely paved with lots of plants and a net garden. The bench sits alone in a circular area.
