This granite boundary monument marks the Massachusetts-Connecticut state-line between the Town of
Dudley, Massachusetts and the Town of
Thompson, Connecticut. The marker is located along Dresser Hill Road (Route 31) on the east side of the street. The marker was set in 1906 and was found in a good condition.
The marker has the following text engraved on its sides:
Northern side:
D (upright - stands for the Town of Dudley)
MASS (in book spine orientation)
Southern side:
T (upright - stands for the Town of Thompson)
CONN (in book spine orientation)
Western side:
1906
The top of the marker has a little drill hole in the middle and also shows two small round notches. One of these notches is covered with a little metal cap.
Many thanks and happy waymarking.
