When Famous Players sold the Stanley Theatre to the Arts Club Theatre they gutted the seats and put a covenant on the title forbidding films to be shown in this great Art Deco-Moorish style cinema.

Built in 1931 as a cinema it sat 1,218 people. Today, in its live theatre configuration it only seats 650 patrons.
