TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN FREELAND, GO NORTHEAST 0.07 MILE ALONG MAIN ST TO MARK ON RIGHT. IT IS LOCATED 23.4 METERS SOUTHWEST OF A FLAG POLE, 3.5 METERS SOUTHWEST OF A CATCH BASIN, 21.3 METERS NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE PACIFIC PRIDE BUILDING 1650 MAIN ST, 26.3 METERS NORTHEAST OF THE NE CORNER OF THE FREELAND CAFE BUILDING 1642 MAIN ST, 1.6 METERS NORTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST AND POWER POLE #437282 AND #158573, 15.0 METERS NORTHEAST OF A CATCH BASIN AND 5.2 METERS SOUTHEAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTERLINE OF MAIN ST. THE MARK IS A USC&GS BRASS DISK SET INTO A CONCRETE MONUMENT WHICH IS LEVEL WITH AN ASPHALT SHOULDER.

Note: monument is now below the road surface in a vault.
