TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE POST OFFICE IN FREELAND, GO NORTHEAST 0.40 MILE ALONG MAIN ST TO THE INTERSECTION OF MAIN ST AND NEWMAN RD, TURN LEFT OR GO NORTH 0.70 MILE ALONG NEWMAN RD TO THE 'T' INTERSECTION OF NEWMAN RD AND DOUBLE BLUFF RD AND MARK. IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE INTERSECTION, 22.3 METERS SOUTHWEST OF A METAL DRAIN PIPE, 27.7 METERS SOUTHWEST OF THE 1ST TREE IN A ROW OF TREES (A MAPLE TREE APPROXIMATELY 1.3 METERS DIAMETER), 52.1 METERS SOUTHWEST OF A POWER POLE WITH GUY POLE, 53.2 METERS NORTHWEST OF A POWER POLE, 0.6 METERS NORTHWEST OF A WITNESS POST, 9.4 METERS NORTHWEST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTERLINE OF NEWMAN ROAD, 27.1 METERS NORTHEAST OF A POWER POLE, 60 CM NORTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST, 23.8 METERS NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF NEWMAN ROAD AND DOUBLE BLUFF ROAD AND 17.5 METERS NORTHEAST OF A GUY POLE. THE MARK IS A USC&GS BRASS DISK SET INTO A ROUND CONCRETE MONUMENT RISING 20 CM FROM GROUND SURFACE.
