Within the small garden are some bricks dedicated to those who have fallen and a commemorative board with details of The Maritime Regiment and R.N. Gunners together with a Bofors gun.

The personnel of the D.E.M.S. lost many gunners who were killed or subsequently missing during World War II. They were part of the Royal Navy operating on merchant ships.
