This Building was built in the years 1912-1913 as a tribute to the advent of electricity in the city of Blackwell and was funded by a bond issue of the Blackwell Parks Department. It's lights, numbering 500 at it's construction, could be seen for miles across the prairie. It was designed by W.L. McAtee. The Pavilion was used for Big Bands, Plays, Graduations, and meeting rooms.
The Top of Oklahoma Historical Society, organized in 1972, is the parent organization of the Top of Oklahoma Museum.
