Without irrigation, farming would not be possible in Arizona. To bring water up from the depths of the wells, pumps were needed. Early pumps relied on internal combustion engines as electricity was not available.
This engine is a 2 cylinder 140 horsepower Venn-Severin engine. It was used on a local farm from late 1930s into the 1950s.
