The plaque reads:
"This building was built in 1894 for J. McPhee & Sons General Merchants. Originally located on the NW corner of 5th Street and Anderton Avenue the building was moved to this site in 1911. It was renovated and redesigned in the 1950's. In celebration of the building's centennial this plaque was installed in March 1994."
