The original wooden constuction of the Pardubice bell tower was located for a few centuries on the remnants of the former St. Roch chapel, which stood next to St. Bartholomew church from 1680. The wooden belfry was during the times a few times destroyed by fires. Last known shape of the wooden construstion is preserved on the picture from 1892(see the gallery).
In 1930 was lower stoned part (former St. Roch chapel)extended with brick prismatic bell tower covered with low spire roof. In upper floor of the tower are located new bells installed here in 2008.
