As of 2008 the water tower serviced 250 homes. The future expansion is estimated to bring this up to 335 homes. The problem is there is not enough source water flow to meet the future growth.
The tower draws its water from two wells. The second well is being affected by surface water and is currently offline. There is a study to determine a solution with two of the possibilities being a third well to replace the second or a connection to the Hamilton lake water system to the south.
