Canal Park is a must see for anyone visiting Duluth. Located on the Shores of Lake Superior and at the entry way for the Port of Duluth, the park is a relaxing treasure trove of sensations. Located in the park is the Lake Superior Marine Museum, lots of nautical displays and informational plaques, a boardwalk the goes through the entire City of Duluth and along the Lake Superior shoreline. Vendors, quaint shops, nearby hotels and so much more, including lots of gulls. Spread throughout the area are many sculptures and fountains and a walking tour map is available at nearby businesses. It is listed as the top attraction in Duluth by Lake Superior Magazine.
The sculpture is maginificent showing a seasoned seaman in rain gear standing strong.
