Dionicio Rodriguez (1891-1955) was a Mexican born artist and architect known for using concrete to imitate wood. This one is his vision of a tree that has survived a flood. The local woodsmen decided to turn the exposed roots into benches and trim the crown of the tree and thatch it into a roof. Nearby is a bridge, a lamp, and another bench done in a similar style without the thatch.
