Located opposite the Borough Hall at 227 Trenton Avenue in Barrington, this site consists of 3 separate monuments, honoring those who served in World War I, World War II, and Korea & Vietnam. The monuments are all made of stone and kind of worn.
Nice, 6+ foot high stone monument. This can be found in the rear of the parking lot of the Barrington Municipal Building. There is a playground to the left. The area is total suburbia. The top of the monument has the iconic flag symbol found on most memorials with the dates 1941-1945. Beneath it it reads BARRINGTON dedicates this tribute to its heroes of World War II ~ These died that we might live in freedom. Beneath this is a list of five local boys who died in the war. To the left and right on the sides are brass or bronze markers attached to the monument which lists the names of the local boys who served.
