This is one of many granite posts used to mark the "corner" points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the City of Beverly, and the Towns of Manchester and Wenham. The letters "B" (for Beverly), "M" (for Manchester), and "W" (for Wenham) are painted on three sides. This marker is approximately eight inches square and four feet high. Note the characteristic orange paint band around the top.

To reach the marker, take exit 17 (Grapevine Road) off route 128 towards Beverly Farms. After about 0.5 miles, turn left (north) onto Preston Place. Drive to the end (nearly a mile), and park in front of the gate on the left, just before the driveway to the last house. Enter the woods road to the left beyond the gate, and then follow your GPS about 0.2 miles to the marker.

The next adjacent marker heading southeast is Beverly-Manchester 1, 0.3 mile.
The next adjacent marker heading southwest is Beverly-Wenham 1, 0.3 mile.
The next adjacent marker heading north is Hamilton-Manchester-Wenham, 0.7 mile.
