Long Description:
One of the most noticeable features of the most famous building in Norwood, Massachusetts is the Krupp 150mm heavy howitzer located on the front lawn. Mounted permanently on a stone and tile base, this well-preserved piece appears was manufactured in 1917, and bears the serial number 1860.

The gun and mount were donated to the Town of Norwood by the Norwood American Legion (Post 70) in 1928.
