The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is located just south of Folkston, Georgia, and was established in 1936 to preserve the 438,000 acre Okefenokee Swamp. The refuge's visitor center, named the Richard S. Bolt Visitor Center, is located at the main entrance to the refuge, located 11 miles southwest of Folkston. As you enter the visitor center, there is an information desk and gift shop to the left. The passport stamp is located at the information desk. You just need to ask the desk attendant to use it.
Visitor Center hours: 9am-5pm daily.
To enter the area, you must pay an entrance fees of $5.00.

March 1 - October 31, 1/2 hour before sunrise - 7:30 pm
November 1 - February 28, 1/2 hour before sunrise - 5:30 pm
