The ferry across the Minho River is the easy way to cross between Portugal and Spain along the Atlantic Coast. There are bridges farther inland as the river narrows but this crossing is more scenic.

Within the European Union, border crossings and non events, no more than crossing from US state to state. The Minho River is the border between Portugal and Spain. An easy crossing is the ferry "Santa Rita a Cassio" at the mouth of the Minho River from Caminha to Camopsancos and A Guarda. The waymark is for the border at the mid channel marker. See WM8XJ2 for ferry details.

Gas was cheaper on the Spanish side. The coast is spectacular both north in Spain and south in Portugal.
