This Art*o*mat is located in the old Crocker Art Museum building at Sacramento, California. Turn left from the entry lobby and it is at the top of the stairway to the lower floor.

Tokens must be purchased for $5 at the gift shop.

A sign on the wall near the Art*o*mat reads:

ORIGINAL WORKS OF ART FOR $5.00

This Art*o*mat® machine dispenses original works of art
created by artists from around the world. Made from a
refurbished cigarette machine, Art*o*mat® is the
brainchild of Clark Whittington of Winston-Salem,
North Carolina, whoe created fir first machine in 1997.
There are now more tha 60 Art*o*mat® machines in
operation across the Uinted States. 400 artists from 10
countries participate in the project. This is currently the
only Art*o*mat® in northern California.

To purchase an original work of art please purchase a
token from the Museum Store, located to your right and
down the hall. Tokens are for sale for $5.00 plus tax. No
refunds will be given on Art*o*mat® purchases.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT COINS IN THIS MACHINE

Regardless of what the sign says, there is another Art*o*mat in San Francisco.
