Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery is located in Waupaca County on the grounds of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. At the time the sign was made this was the only Wisconsin Veterans Home and Memorial Cemetery. Since then a new Southern Wisconsin Veterans Homes and Memorial Cemetery has opened in Union Grove, WI and a Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. As of the end of 2007 there were 5,407 members and spouses buried on 63 acres. This cemetery accommodates burial of caskets and cremation urns.
