Dan Mahoney is a 3.3 hectare reserve which is a popular sporting venue and off-leash area for dogs.

The large expanse makes it ideal for allowing dogs to chase after a ball or go for a leisurely walk.

Occasionally, dog agility courses are run in the reserve.

The reserve is name after Daniel John Mahoney (1909 - 1996) who was an alderman on Parramatta City Council from 1954–1959 (including a term as Mayor in 1958). Following this he was elected as the state member for Parramatta from 1959 to 1976.
Level of Enclosure: Completely Enclosed

Description of Enclosure:
The reserve has a 1.2 metre wire mesh fence surrounding the perimeter. The area is mostly flat and covered with grass. A small hill in one corner has a cluster of trees. A small creek, usually dry, runs along one side.
