This wonderful to look at hotel has been serving travellers to Merritt since 1908.

With the arrival of the Nicola Valley Railway and the Nicola, Kamloops & Similkameen Railway the ranching and coal mining of Merritt needed a hotel. To meet the needs of the travelling public the Coldwater Hotel was completed in 1908. Today the rails are gone by the Coldwater continues to serve people.
