The Lazer church is marked with an attractive sundial painted by Rémi Potey in 1995. This is one of his first commissions in Pay de Buech and it is different in style from the ones produced later. Like the church, it is sparsely decorated, in isolation, out standing in the fields of the Laragnais.
The dial shows the commune crest with catfish and flowers. The motto is appropriately religious, "Sol me regit vos Christus". The sun rules me. For you, Christ". This is a morning dial declining east.
