The bell tower atop the Hartwood Presbyterian Church in Stafford County, VA is not an original part of this old historic churchClick for related waymark to open in new window, but was donated by a Episcopalian church. (This church originally started as a wooden chapel built for worshippers of the Episcopal faith who were far away from the Church of England during Revolutionary times.)

The bell was installed on the roof at the entrance and an access panel and holes for the two ropes were cut in the ceiling which is accessible from the gallery. It peals out every Sunday to alert followers to the services.
