This Rose, in the lobby of the new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, is a remnant of the original museum building.

This compass rose is a ring with 8 cardinal directions represented.

From each direction, a line in the surrounding concrete leads away.

Arranged around the compass are embedded discs of the twelve symbols of the Zodiac.

Note that coordinates were taken outside the front door of the museum.

The new museum building was completed in November of 2009.
