This memorial stands outside the headquarters of
E Division of the RCMP. This division covers the RCMP operations in British Columbia and this memorial is dedicated to the RCMP officers who died while serving the people of the province.
The memorial reads:
Dedicated to the members of the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police
who lost their lives
during the course of duty
in the Province of
British Columbia
Maintain the right eternally.
Forever remembered.
A la memorie des membres de la
Gendarmerie Royale du Canada
qui sont decedes
dans l'exercice de leurs fonctions
dans la Province de la
Colombie Britannique

According to John Steil and Aileen Stalker in Public Art in Vancouver "a pensive RCMP officer and a hat and gloves representing a deceased colleague are on the corners".
